The Innovation Group (TIG) at the Kentucky Science and Technology Corporation focuses on early stage business and technology development activities. TIG manages the Commercialization Investment Fund, a seed capital fund to fill the gap between founder’s and angel/venture capital, and the Innovation and Commercialization Center (ICC) network to help accelerate the establishment of start-up, technology-based businesses. The Kentucky Science and Technology Corporation also administers the SBIR/STTR Phase 0 grant program open to Kentucky’s small businesses, university-affiliated small businesses, and college and university faculty entrepreneurs. The program provides funds to help develop successful Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) federal grant proposals.
